(More customer reviews)I test healthy recipes for a national website. Honey is a wonderful additive for food, but it's broken down as a simple sugar by the body, so we have to use it VERY sparingly. At least we DID have to use it sparingly! This tastes just like real honey...and there's no sugar. It's the best tasting honey substitute we've ever tried. It also works great in recipes we've make both hot and cold. We like it so much, we're no buying it by the case.
There is ONE important thing to remember. It is sweetened with sugar alcohols (which is neither sugar or alcohol...but that's another story). For most of the people, that's no problem. However, some people will get an upset stomach by eating sugar alcohol. Just be aware of that one potential side effect.

(More customer reviews)I ordered some xylitol and erythritol products from this company and found some of them had a very, very strange, foul smell. I called the company with my concerns, worried about possible contamination. I waited politely while the receptionist asked the CEO if I could have a refund (even though it is listed on the web site as refundable). She came back and said, yeah, they'd take it back this once, but they would never accept another order from me again. Next she started to chastise me for ordering more than one thing since I'd never ordered from them before.
I explained that I had ordered it before from another company, but she interrupted me to say that I should test one item from each new company before assuming the items are the same. Well, in chemistry class we've learned that pure chemical substances should be the same, and it says as much on their own web site. While I was pointing this out, she hung up on me.
I had ordered a wide variety of this companies products - xylitol, erythritol, candies, gums, etc. Some were ok, but the ones that had the bad smell had me worried. I was very surprised when they did not want to stand behind their product guarantee and told me not to order again when I was only returning the items that seemed to be defective.
NOW foods offers the same items that I have ordered and they smell and taste just as sweet as sugar. They are also available here on Amazon.com.
Try them instead -- I am sticking with them from now on.

It is bulk packed and in a concentrate - not in spoonful strength equal to sugar and therefore does not have the fillers that make others, including Equal Spoonful foam.
I use a lot of iced tea which I make in large quantity, two or so gallons at a time, and other than opening numerous packets or sweeten each glass as I use it, this is the best way to sweeten the tea I have found.

(More customer reviews)This stuff has a really really great taste!!!!!! At first, I was a bit worried about what it was going to taste like by the Reviews that were posted here on Amazon.com. But like most things, everyone has different taste buds, and what one person might dislike, another might love. So, I gave it a try, and I found that I really like the taste of this honey substitute. One of the the first things I tried Nature's Hallow Honey Substitute on was a piece of buttered toast Wow! I was really surprised. So, I had to have another piece, but this time I added cinnamon (King Arthur's Vietnamese Cinnamon, which was also was another new product for me.) Wow WOW. . . .that was the best Cinnamon Honey Toast ever.
Now, I did personally feel that this product mimicked the texture of Honey. . .and If any one has tried different varieties of honey, they know that honey comes in a variety of taste and texture. I myself prefer a lighter tasting HONEY, and I felt for me this Honey Substitute mimicked that very closely. No it was not completely Honey in texture, but close. . . .
I know there are going to be others, who will not agree with me and that's OK. . .But those of you who have not tried Nature's Hallow Honey Substitute, please don't let the negative reviews stop you from at least trying it once. I think some of you will be pleasantly surprised, and in a good way.
My next plans are to bake with Nature's Hallow Sugar Free Honey Substitute, and hopefully it will replace honey and Agave Nectar in recipes where it is asked for. . .It's worth the try!!!!!!!

To be clear, I do believe this is not the same SIZE bag you can readily pickup in your local supermarket. The local Walmart, Target, Publix and Albertons bags are of the 9.7 ounce variety, not this huge gigantic bag. So this is in essence, two of those bags for this price. Pretty even I would think.
I love this stuff and it for all things that need sweetening. I put it in coffee, a little in my high fiber cereal, sometimes in high protein smoothies, sometimes to sweeten my green tea, and just about anything else I can make that needs extra sweetness.
I don't bake yet so would think I need the bake friendly version. ;)
