(More customer reviews)At first this seemed like an awesome medical ID bracelet - and I thought it would be far superior to the Medic Alert bracelet that I have worn for 10 years, especially since my medical situation has changed in some really important ways. I mean, how cool is it to be able to enter ALL your medical information, medications, medical conditions, previous surgeries, history, everything and have it immediately accessible, right?
WRONG! Depending upon the computer program and OS, this USB may or may not automatically pop up - and with epilepsy, time is brain - so I can't afford for some EMT or ER doctor to try to fiddle with the computer while he/she tries to treat me.
WORSE YET - you CAN'T PRINT OUT ALL THE INFORMATION!!!! HOW DUMB IS THAT?! Seriously, imagine me in a seizure, I can't communicate, some assistant is trying to get the USB to open up, when she/he finally does, she/he can't print out the information and must write it all down by hand?!? Because of all the different sections, will anyone even notice that I have a VNS implant and can't have electrical stimulation? That CPR is a much better alternative for me that a shock to restart my heart? OR which drugs are just going to make my seizures worse? Or that I am allergic to penicillin? Or have time to write a note to the doctor to tell him/her all of the 12 medications I am taking?? There are five different screens you have to tab through to even find the information, will the assistant (once they figure out how to start the USB drive going - it doesn't pop up automatically on my computer) even know which pages are the most important? And how much time will be wasted while my brain is dying? NO THANK YOU! Even the stickers that come with this bracelet are useless - I can only put one on there - so which disease is most important? Seizures or Diabetes? Either could render me unconscious or unable to communicate.MACX - FIX THESE DESIGN FLAWS BEFORE IT KILLS SOMEONE! MAKE IT SO IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY OPEN UP IN ANY OPERATING SYSTEM AND PRINT OUT WITH A BIG, OBVIOUS PRINT MEDICAL INFORMATION BUTTON ON THE SCREEN.
I am just going back to Medic Alert to have a new bracelet engraved saying Epilepsy, Diabetes, VNS implant, drug allergies, hypertension, etc, because frankly, a phone call to Medic Alert will be much faster than having someone try to figure this thing out. You can't even use the PRINTSCREEEN button to get it to print, and when one of my doctors tried, it just crashed out his computer.

(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these, one for each of my special needs children. My autistic son wears it around his wrist. The clasp was easy enough for me to manipulate, but too much for him to get off. He tried scraping, chewing, cutting with wire cutters (he's a small 8 year old), and every other method he could think of to destroy the bracelet. It survived everything he did- and he'd managed to remove several before it. Once he got over the fact that he can't get it off, he realized that the chain is not scratchy or uncomfortable at all and he no longer minds it. Note: The bracelet is sized for an adult, but I was able to use strong wire cutters to shorten the chain before putting it on him.
The other bracelet was for my two year old who has special medical needs. She wears it on her ankle, and has had no problems with it. She thinks it is shiny and beautiful.
Overall, this product is very well built, especially for this price. I would buy it again.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the diabetic stainless steel bracelet for my husband who is a survivor of pancreatic cancer. When you have your pancreas removed you are immediately diabetic and a bracelet is a VERY important item. I like the product very much except for closure. I know it was made the way it was so the bracelet could not come off or be lost...BUT, he could not get it on without help and I had difficulty with the clasp and in the end had to change it. I have made some jewelry and know where to get clasps so got a "lobster claw" clasp that is safe and easier for him to operate.
We are pleased with the bracelet otherwise.
