I simultaneously had bloodwork at the Doctor's office when I did the test.
Except for the total cholesterol, all the other tests were off. The manual states to check for the blue color at the back of the test strips after the test is done. Except for total cholestrol the other test strips did not have a blue color. The test strips which are expensive were bad. I am planning on returning this product

New Chapter Cinnamonforce Review

It's touted as the answer to everything from weight loss and improving memory to alleviating arthritis pain. Does it work? Beats me. Since I like cinnamon and don't get a sufficient amount in the foods I eat regularly, I've been taking cinnamon capsules for a few months in the hope that it might work to regulate my blood sugar and lower my LDL levels. My results have been good but truthfully, I have no idea whether it's thanks to the cinnamon, the other changes in diet I've put into effect or a combination of the two. Since I don't seem to be suffering any ill effects from the cinnamon capsules and may actually be reaping a benefit, I plan to continue them.
The capsules that I had been taking are much more potent than the New Chapter Cinnamonforce capsules. I had been ingesting 2 to 3 grams a day as opposed to the 140 mg recommended by New Chapter. True, my old capsules are Cinnamomum Cassia and not the combination of Cinnamomum Aromaticum (cassia) and Cinnamomum Verum that's contained in the Cinnamonforce, but as I read that several studies were conducted using only the cassia (which is cheaper and more commonly available), I'm not sure how noteworthy that is.
In short, the Cinnamonforce capsules are small, very pleasant tasting and easy to take but are significantly less potent and more expensive than many other available brands of cinnamon capsules on the market.

They both seem to have the ability to lower the cholesterol in your blood. However, based on a Johns Hopkins health alert....plant sterols tend to lose their ability to lower cholesterol, and instead start to appear in the blood them selves. Where as plant STANOLS seem to stay active and continue to lower cholesterol. BENECOL is the only off the shelf item that contains stanols instead of sterols. The Benecol spread is good and tastes fine, but the caramel chews are portable so you can easily take them with you. I would recommend the chews to anyone who wants to keeps tabs on your cholesterol....they are reasonably inexpensive, taste good, and have STANOLS in them...and they are portable. I was able to lower my cholesterol by 80 points by consumming STANOLS and watching my intake of cholesterol....

(More customer reviews)I read the instructions and followed them to the 'T'. I fasted for over 9 hours. I filled up the cassette, and I promptly mailed in the sample. The only response I got was that they could not test my sample. No refund, nothing.
I recommend going to your doctor, local clinic, or just give blood and get your cholesterol for free. I learned about the latter after purchasing this piece of junk. I feel bad enough for not giving blood regularly. Now I am mad at myself for wasting my money on this piece of junk when I could have paid nothing, gotten accurate results, and helped someone else with donated blood.
