(More customer reviews)I bought this book as a guide for my rotation in OB/GYN as a family nurse practitioner student, and I was severely disappointed. I thought it would help me assess and manage OB (and GYN) patients from a primary provider perspective, as its title suggests. However, this book does NOT contain any information on managing the OB patient, except for part of one chapter devoted to routine screening. It includes sections on various common topics covered in better depth in my other textbooks, such as mood disorders, HTN, CVD, GI, respiratory, and the like.
Almost none of the information in this book added to my knowledge base, but it is in a compact, useable text for women's health issues, if you need a go-to reference for that. That is the only reason I gave it two stars.
