(More customer reviews)to be honest, i bought the book during my obgyn rotation and never touched it. i was told by classmates that i could pass the test by just doing casefiles, so i did... and i passed. but i didnt do as well as i could have, and later as i studied for the USMLE step 2, i realized how much of the material i really had not learned. i went back to quickly read this book then, and it had all the info i was missing.

Obviously, this book alone is not enough to prepare for USMLE Step 2, but the great thing about this book is that it really focus on the disease and keywords that actually appear in the exam (e.g. vaginitis, OCP, amenorrhea, eclampsia etc). You pick up this book, see any of the scenario and if you cannot guess the diagnosis by reading through the history and findings, or any of the highlighted keywords on the scenario is unfamiliar to you, you need to buy this book. If you can, forget about this series, and work on simulated tests.

(More customer reviews)This book was more than helpful for Step 2. In particular, it helped me polish up on dermatology, ophthalmology, neurology, and radiology - subjects not well covered in the other review books I used, and subjects which had an appreciable presence on USMLE Step 2. It also helped me review OB/GYN at the last minute. Look out for errors, though - others in my class found flaws in the medicine section, for example. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Worth the price for all the high-yield information packed in this little green book.
